At first we thought Brass could be shorter, but on second thought you then lose a part that is so much fun about the game, namely building a good engine. Personally, we find it more fun to be able to play 2 games in that time. Playing Brass takes on average 120 minutes, in our opinion this is on the long side for a game. Because it is so much fun to try out all these paths to victory, the replayability of Brass is quite high! It's a lot of fun to experiment with the different possibilities and to see what you can do to get the most success. There are an awful lot of tactical and strategic options in the game. The game plays nicely and despite the high complexity according to BGG, you can play through itfairly quickly.
